My grandson spent last weekend with us. What a refreshing break!
I was so engaged with keeping him entertained that I didn’t have a chance to think about work the whole time. My only goal was to have fun.
Looking at the world through his eyes really enhanced my perspective. Life is about experiences. As we propelled ourselves around the little lake on a paddle boat (a lot of work, by the way!) and strolled through the zoo admiring each of the animals, it was so relaxing to just be in the moment and not think about anything else.
This is what kids do so well!
While we can’t always stop thinking about our work and obligations, wouldn’t it be nice if we could still focus on having fun every day and just enjoy the pure pleasure of being alive?
Well, we can!
When we awaken each morning, we can set our intention to do just that. We can consciously choose to enjoy each moment to the fullest.
The great thing about the Journey to Palm Canyon is that we get to practice doing things like this every day. So your assignment . . . practice having fun this week.
Let me know how it goes for you!
